Default firing problems

well my car was running like **** and i was getting a p0300 code so i decided to change my plugs to see if that solved the problem.. when i pulled out all the drivers side they looked great, but everyone on the passengers side is completly black (i havnt pulled 8 yet, but im assuming its the same)

anybody have this problem before, or have any ideas???

EDIT: this is a full bolt on car with a 3600vig stall dunno if that helps at all

You could have a bad O2 sensor on that side that causes it to run just enough rich to foul out the plugs and start missing. Also check the coil pack wiring/connectors on that side to make sure they are completely connected and the pins and sockets inside the connectors are straight and all making good contact. This would cause it also.

scan it with hptuners or other software, and see if it is "swinging". What it shows is the mV that the pcm sees from the sensor. You test it yourself also, just use a multimeter (preferably an analog one if you can get your hands on one so you can see the changes/trends easier) . Set it to show mV. Test between the signal wire and the ground wire. It should bounce back and forth at idle and part throttle. It shouldnt sit still on any voltage, it should "swing". Compare it to the side you know works, and if it varies by a bunch you know its the O2 if it acts the same, then its more than likely something else. Good luck.

ok well its still screwin up.. i changed the plugs and exactly 1 week later it started doing it again pretty bad.. i was on my way to watch my buddys vette get dyno tuned so while i was down there they threw the scanner on my car and saw it was dumping 26% more fuel on the pass. side.. (i made sure there were no leaks around the o2, and im not throwing any other codes besides the p0300 so could it still be the o2) there are no burnt wires so could it be a tuning issue??? again any advice is greatly appreciated
