Default 4L80e torque management?

Anybody with knowledge of tuning the 4L80e in an F-body:

I had an issue where the tranny thought it was in 4L, so we basically tuned around that. Something to the effect that there's a spot with a table that obviously has 4 shift tables, but only 3 show in HPTuners, so we found the values needed to be changed in the BIN file and changed them. Now it no longer shifts 1-3-1-2-3. That's good.

But now it feels like 1st gear has some kind of torque management going on. It's a totally different car from 1st gear to 2nd. Anybody have any ideas as to what to look at? I can get my tune from my tuner and email it to you for a look if you don't care to help. This sucks bad 'cause a couple of the fastest cars in my area are talking to people saying they wanna run my car, and I'm gonna be screwed off the line. Sure, I'll dead hook, but I'll need to have all she's got to even have a slight chance with these guys.
