Default VE table Idle tuning question with cammed car

Just wondering if anyone has much experience adding fuel in idle cells for cammed cars?

Just seems that you may have to overfuel car in idle cells due to WB seeing unburnt fuel in exhaust @ idle.

The question then becomes how much is needed as a rule and what about surrounding cells?

Wideband doesn't see unburned fuel, it sees unburned oxygen. And if you keep it in closed loop, the narrowband will adjust the fuel trims until it sees as much oxygen as it thinks is right.

The problem with cammed cars with lots of overlap is air/oxygen passing through the cylinders and giving the 02's a false reading and lean ide. Not because unburnt fuel is passing through. However, it's going to try to adjust itself to match your commanded AFR. So a manual adjustment won't address this issue if you are running closed loop. You could run open loop and command it richer at idle if you needed to though. But if your wondeing about the cam in your sig, you should be able to get it at stoich on your wideband and have it idle just fine.
