Timing and Nitrous
I am curious to how much timing I can safely run with a 100 shot wet kit or what other people have there timing set at, running a similar setup. I know every car can get different degrees of timing without having a problem with knock, but how much should i take off if i get knock at say 30 degrees? I have heard that you can actually set it up (on ls1edit) where, when the nitrous is activated, it will switch to the low octane spark advance, but i don't know that it would be necessary. Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Anthony

Re: Timing and Nitrous
Go into the HOT table and set your timing 2-3 degrees lower in the rows that correspond to a load value of .775 and higher. Works great...no need for no stinking timing tuner!

Re: Timing and Nitrous
What about tricking the IAT sensor so it reads high temps and retards the timing?
Thought it would be cool having two resistors hooked up to the IAT. One will read cool temps the other will read high temps. When the nitrous is activated, the high temp resistor automatically kicks in.

Yes you can modify the table. That is what needs to be done. I just made the comment for those without edit, who might just try the resistor and think they are safe.
