I just put headers with no cats on my car and now all hells has broke lose. Gauges flash on and off, idles at 500 sometimes revs to 5000 for no reason, and constanly dies. I had a friend put the headers in, is there anything on the wireing harness that he could have put on backwards or what? I am not doing good right now.. NEEDING HELP!!! There is also nothing saved in the memory. The check engine light will flash and go off. Reads nothing from the dealer. Has o2 sims...

um, that sounds like one fugged up install. You didn't put sims on the front o2 sensors did you?

are the 02 sims on the rear sensors, and are the 02 sims good? mabye he cliped a wire or one burned up from headders besdies that type of stuff im not sure it sounds like a computer\electerical prob which would either be bad sims wireing probs or mabye you need tunning work(last one is a long shot but mabye) but if he did like 02 blue said thats your prob good luck

What kind of headers, I have also seen this problem as a result of a burned wire.
