Default ecm oil pressure

does the pcm on a 2001 f-body look at oil pressure? and is there a safety set up to shut engine down if it doesn't see any pressure?

I don't believe the pcm and oil pressure are tied together at all. The oil level sensor is tied to the pcm.

No it wont shut off your car, on an ls1 it just goes straight to the gauge on a tan wire.

Your vehicle antitheft was not shut off in the ecm.
