Default Poor Throttle Response........

I've got a '99 vette, with aftermarket CompCam, LG Street Headers, and custom tune. I've been skeptical about the throttle response ever since I had it tuned. When I rev it up in neutral, the RPM's just don't seem to drop back down quickly like they would on an old muscle car. Is this common, or can it be tuned out? Any help would be appreciated.

with cars that have electronic throttle control, the ECU is programmed to have the RPM stay up a bit for emissions reasons... even after changing to lighter fly wheel ex ex probably wont help much. as far as to "tune" it away i really dont know, all i know is its normal. Pulleys, crank ex ex also play a factor in this btw

Its possible its in the tune. Depends on just how slow the come down. They shouldnt come down slowly, but then again, they wont just snap right back to idle like a 13:1 solid roller big block either.
