Default Crane Cams Vinci Tuner for boltons now and cam later

I am trying to keep cost down so i am going to pick up a tuner used for $250-300 i figure with the crane cams i can tune my car right now and get a little gain and then when i cam it i can tune it with the tuner then. How well will the tuner work on a medium sized cam nothing over a 224 will my relaibality be ok? I would perfer not to pay a shop 500+ to tune my car. I thought it would be cool cause i can get some gains with my mods now and then tune my car when i cam it also. Any advice?

Yea it is a great tuner. You can make all kind of adjustments. I would recommend gettin your car dynod with the tuner to see what your car likes. I am on cam setting #3 with a 216/224/115 stock heads with 15% fuel enrichment. I will be goin to there Vinci XXX Cam of 222/228/115 for setting #4. But I would still recommend gettin your car dialed in with the tuner. It has been said that compared to a laptop tuning and the handheld tuner(Vinci) there is a loss of about maybe 5-8 rwhp. Not bad if u ask me.
