Ideally you want to lower your mph points and tables by the same % amount the gear change yields. Your case is about 25%.
The TCC lockup is really what you prefer.

Does your tuning software have a calculator that automatically recalibrates all shift points for you.

For DD a good feeling TCC lockup is based more on MPH than on RPM. You could change the TCC engage /disengage tables 25% to match your gear change, but you would you then lockup at slower speeds. I converted my 94 Z28 A4 from 2.73's to 3.42's and love the difference. I only changed the speedo settings and the shift point tables and left the TCC stuff alone, but that is a personal preference. I use TunerCat and had to do the shift tables manually. Heres's some info - http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=498673
