Question Intermittant rpm / cutting out problem. (HELP PLZ)

My 2002 z06 LS6 427 with a 300 shot.

We couldnt tune the car because something is happening when the car goes WOT. It will go to 4000 rpm and stop like it hit the rev limiter, even though its set to 6800.

When the car isnt under load it doesnt do it, its when you're in gear and you go WOT. But it doesnt do it everytime. Every once in a while you'll get a clean pull. Does it on and off the dyno.

We thought it might have been the maf, so we tuned the car SD open loop and it didnt change a thing.

The odd thing is that when you go wot the RPM and Tac jumps around up and down like crazy, and i'm pretty sure it has something to do with it.

the tuner thinks its some sort of wiring issue.

We're going to start with the CPS, and the wires around it, but after that I dont know where to go. I'm hoping someone else has some insight.

thanks!

Are you getting any DTCs? Specifically P0343?

mine did that for a while, now since april i have no tach and get a cam sensor code ... tried a new sensor and nothing ... going to be checking wiring today ... from my research this is either wiring (if you lose cam signal you lose tach) or the camshaft starting to walk
