Default Question..O2 sensors

How can you depend on the wideband while your O2 sensors are cancelled ?

I mean..if your o2's are not in use...and you want to tune your car with efi using a wideband !!

Does this happen..or you have to have o2s ?

I'm new to tuning

Did you take all four O2's out or just the rear two?

You need the front two, the rears are just there to monitor cat performance. If you tuned out the two rear ones, it's fine.
If you took all four out, you got problems.

why would taking all 4 out give you problems? are there no closed loop settings and no open/ecu learning settings?

Wideband O2 readings and your stock narrowbands O2 readings are totally independent.

You don't need your narrowbands at all in order to utilize a wideband reading.

But, if your goal is to remain closed loop (utilizing the narrowband o2 readings..trims etc), then you might want to keep your narrowbands functional.

You want to have something to compare your wideband readings to.

If you are new to tuning, best to read and read and read.

Just remember:

Open Loop: No narrowband O2 feedback.
Closed Loop: Uses narrowband O2 feedback.

Just all depends on what your tuning goals are.

Good luck.
