Default IAC counts. What should they be at in A4

I have a heads and cam LS1. Comp 228/228 cam and TEA Stage 2 5.3 liter heads. What should the counts be at?? Do I check them in or out of gear. I currently have a 1/4 TB hole. The car doesn't want to idle in gear and smells rich at idle.

You check them in both (in and out of gear). Mine sit around 40 with no accessories on, and at 70 with the A/C on...see sig for mods.

After you drill the TB, you can fine tune your IAC counts with the TB set screw.

If your IACs are right, it could be your tuning at idle. Are you using a MAFT, MAF ends or a non-stock TB? All have been shown to effect idle if not properly tuned.
