it goes up to 3.8 is the max so far, and the timing went from 40 to 24, Just got a laptop today and only did a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, log, will higher octane fuel help?

higher octane will help if you're getting REAL knock... but if it's false knock it won't help and you'll have to try to determine the source of the "noise"

The timing from 40 to 24 isn't right... 40 is cruising advance, 24 is when you're at WOT (at WOT you probably won't see more than maybe 28 or 29 w/0 knock)
