Default Long time to warm up and stay running?

I bought a friends built 395 stroker TA and it takes forever to stay running after a cold start. It has been like this for 3 different tuning shops around the Fort Worth, Dallas area. We thought the cam was too big so he swaped in a much smaller cam. 23x/23/ on a 114.5. Something like that. We cant figure whats wrong, if you try to put it in gear before a long 5 minuite warm up it dies. It idles fine till you put it in gear too early and at redlights it almost dies or you are sweating eather or not it will die. Any ideas?

David,

Did you check to make sure the IAC motor is working? Grab a scan tool and check it. Is it turning any SES lights on? Is this Johnny's old car?

Jon I think he put in a new motor but will check it. Yes it is his old car, Josh is going to resale it I think. It is really a jewel.
Jon I talked to Johnie and it as is the throttlebody new. All sensors are new, because of this issue. Still same results. After is warms up it is alot better.
