For the last two years I have had the "AutoTrix" rh side window fix kit for fbodys in my garage on the list of things to do, as we all know fbodies are well known for bad performance on window motors. For fathers day, since it looked like rain, I was able to work in the garage and finally knock this out. Took a good while but to be honest most of it is removing trim and carefully running new wires.

Man for the $29.99 @ amazon this is a great way to speed up your passenger side window, wish I would have did this years ago! Speed test videos below.
Slow with no mod, note the window stops almost all the way up!
Faster after the auto trix mod!

Holy **** that window is slow! Maybe my car already has the autotrix mod done because my passenger window is the same exact speed as that 2nd video.

My passenger window is about that "before" speed. I need to do that mod. I plan on making both windows go all the way up and down with one touch while I'm at it. Holding the button is a small pain.

In all fairness you really should re-install the interior door panel before shooting the "after" video, the door panel adds some drag as I've noticed when raising/lowering with the door panel off vs. right after reinstalling the door panel.

Haha agreed. Having the auto up /down in my other cars spoils me and makes me wish my trans am did the same.

Mine were about as slow as the "before", if not slower, and often stopped part of the way up, also... Just replacing the motors made mine just as fast as this one is now on the "after" video.

Just ordered the SLP Power Flo conversion for my current exhaust. After my 15 hour trip to GA I need to tame the beast a bit. Hopefully this makes the exhaust a bit more bearable for my haul to TX from NY.

Received the BLS V2 parts, received my new 1/0 power wire and the car is in the shop getting the front suspension completely replaced new Moog Ball Joints, control arm bushings and my Bilstein/BMR combo. Also, my new inline fuse (for the new bigger power wire) and ring terminals (for the grounds) got here yesterday.

edit: after alot of digging thru boxes I found my factory high beam buckets (since the high beams are just the low beams but swapped to the other side) and assembled the parts I could, can't finish till I get the trim ring and other parts from the low beams that are still on the car. Finally gonna get some good lighting going.

The low voltage makes them wear out quickly though so if you use them a lot or plan on keeping the car for a while, I'd still do the mod.

That's the fun of having a black car. They look great new, but after some miles everything starts to show. I did a very, very, very mild "correction" on mine a few weeks ago. Just one pass of M105, M205, some glaze and then some wax on top. Since it's summer I actually want to drive it, not sweat in the garage doing paint correction. Maybe when next winter hits I'll do a full correction and go panel by panel with multiple passes of everything.

My whole interest in this hobby is to drive the car. I want it to look as nice as it can but my cars will never be show cars.

I hated driving my 79 after it was freshly painted. I wanted nothing but to drive it but I felt guilty every time I did. I remember feeling queasy the first chip in the paint after the paint job.

I wanted a white or silver 4th gen but got too good of a deal on my black 98 to pass up. I've thought about painting it Martinique blue that was a factory color for the 78 trans am

Tried to do the aux input mod but when I opened the unit up, it looked nothing like I expected. Trying to figure out what to do now.

I completed the fender harness mod. All plugs are in the fender. I think I'm gonna make a panel to cover the opening-and it'll give me a spot to mount the HID ballast.

I also moved the short harness that ran in front of the battery-it's almost all the same wires. I wanted to do this because the battery's moving to the trunk. In it's place will be a catch can & washer fluid bottle (the stock one was in the way of my coolers so it's gone).

I've determined where I ran the harness under the right headlight clears everything.

OK people, I'm in need of a set of these PCM plug plastic inserts-two blue and two red.

Any ideas where to source them?
