Exclamation Let the Bird Breathe!

Still need to gently trim some areas and get a face plate to cover the nostrils whenever it rains!

what would that matter? unless you have a CAI Volant?
rain wouldnt make it to your coils or plugs from that angle

Well I have a K&N and seems to me that when the water flew in your (baffleless) nostrils and into your CAI and into your maf and into your intake and into your motor it might mess something up! I guess it depends on your CAI. He really never said in the first post. There I go jumping to conclusions

I wasn't thinking plugs or coils, but getting water in your intake.

I had the same thing on the stock flat hood sealed to the lower airbox and never had a problem with water. But perhaps the scoops on the top of that hood would make it worse than the non Ram-Air hood.

I'd pulled the baffles out of my WS6 hood and never had a water problem. Unless you're dunking your front end under water, the little bit that gets on your filter, CAI or stock, won't wet the inside of anything. Baffles don't keep humidity or fog out. I wouldn't be worried.
