Headlights work but kills all other lights in car Hi All,
I know this is a headlight problem but couldn't find anything in the stickey about this. When I turn on just parking lights all is OK. But when I turn on the headlights all the lights die. With the car off the warnning chime even stops. Could this be the headlight control box or do you think its the headlight switch.

i had short with one of my headlamp plugs. turns out the wires were bad and touching each other making the other lights turn off. mine was an easy fix as soon as i wired it back up. i would check the plugs to all your headlamps and running lights for a short. if it isn't there trace them back as far as you can. there's some wires shorting somewhere, just gotta find them. i don't think its in the switch but it could be worth investigating just to rule it out.
