98 Sport Gold Metallic Birds
Hello All,
I'm new to the site and I have been out of the TA collecting world for some time.... until this week.
I purchased a 98 SGM WS6 Trans Am knowing that the production numbers were very low and for one year only. I did a search on this site and the web and found some great info but not exactly what I'm looking for.
From what JohhnyBS98WS6rag posted, it looks to that 34 WS6 automatic cars were built.... but I'm wondering how many of the 34 were built the same as mine option wise????? and I'm not even sure if you can figure that out without asking every person that has one what the options are on their car.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, thats a clean looking car. How many miles? Any mods? Still have the SOTL exhaust?
I replied to your other posts, wish I could help, but CompNine apparently went out of buisness. I'm keeping my ears open for another searchable database where I could determine the numbers you are seeking.
Let me know if you want your ASC#.
Congrats on your purchase. Still one of 34 is pretty dang rare.

Thank you. I sent you the VIN via PM just a few min ago.
The car is all stock and still looks great for the high miles that are on it.

Thanks Goldrush...LOL.
Well I received the ASC build #'s with VIN's and my VIN doesn't show up in the list????? I checked the door codes again and she is a SMG WS6. Not sure what to think at this point.

It wasn't me...
Mine is just a lowly Formula hardtop 6-speed that I've installed a GM WS6 hood & airbox on...among a few other things..
I believe that the WS6 you're refering to is actually a hardtop also and it's a 1LE (1 of 1 in SGM for 1998)...
Here's a shot of mine from earlier this year (tri-power nationals in Norwalk Ohio) next to my LS1 LeMans...

Looks great with those wheels. I'll have mine at the TA Nationals next year.

The wheels look chrome due to the clear being mostly gone and I polished them out with a Mothers ball.
I need to finish stripping the clear over the winter.
