Door Panel Staples
I know there is a sticky on this subject but I just wanted to ask a quick follow up since I'll be doing this repair soon.
- What's the best thing to use to replace the staples in the door panel?
- Nuts and bolts?? If so - what size?
- A certain gauge wire?
Something else??
Thanks!!!!!

Yup. Thanks. I saw that. I was trying to avoid reading through every single post and was just trying to find out what to use to replace the staples.
Can't I just reuse the existing staples and elongate the holes??? That would relive the stress that causes the crack would it not??

I just used nuts and bolts, it worked but I don't really prefer it. Actually my main complaint isn't the nut/bolts but more the crack is still there after the fix, when you fix it make sure and use something to pull the crack together(not glue). There's a write up where a guy used like some sort of fishing line or something and pulled the crack shut and you couldn't even tell the crack was there, that's what you want to accomplish if you've already got a crack, if not then ya elongating might work for ya. The staples might not let the panel flex so just make sure you use something that's going to allow the panel to expand and contract, that's the main thing.
