Default Quick headlight question for later today

I am changing the passenger high beam tomorow. I guess it needs to be done w/ the car running or the battery disconneted. I will choose the first option. I thought I saw cars with an extra notch on the switch to leave the doors up with the lights off. Duh. Any way here is my real question:
After installing the bulb and spring cleaning the other three I was thinking of lubricating the door housings. They work fine now. Should I do this & with what chemical? Thanks much. Brian.

You can manually raise your lights up by turning the gear to the left to swap lamps. no answer for question..
