Led tailight bulb problem

Led tailight bulb problem I bought some led tail light bulbs, they fit in the socket right and all. But when I run the lights and brake at the same time they stop lighting and smell like they are burning a resistor or something. I checked both sides hooking directly to a battery and they work. Even at the same time. I even probed in the socket with a test light and everything lined up. Anyone have any suggestion or had the same problem?
