Default bright led tail light bulbs

Ok so I tried the 18 smd bulbs you see all over Ebay and such but they weren't bright enough for me. Not even as bright as a regular so I'm looking for some different ones that aren't crazy expensive. Which of these would be brighter?

I'd go with the 98 SMD. I have 68 in mine. Very bright and they are reverse light. But the are LONG. Make sure you have room.

A $20 bulb isn't going to be as bright or brighter than stock. They will look bright in the shade, night, ect. but will be horrible in the sun. Triton LEDs are about $130/pair and are really the only ones that perform in the sunlight. The red ones show lower lumens out of the white or orange. There's a reason why you only see LEDs at night and not in the sun.

When using them as brake lights its better to use the red ones. Even though the white ones state higher lumen output a large percentage of that is filtered out by the red lenses where as a red one shines through it. Now compared to the stock bulbs as far as I know now unfortunately like you said they don't compare.
