Hi all. i'm in a bind. my f-bird is my primarily vehicle, and the other day i tried to start it and the alarm went off instead. i haven't had keyless entry in awhile, so the alarm always goes off once i unlock the door with the key, but if iget in and crank the engine within a few seconds i can usually beat it. not anymore. i turn the key, get a click, then alarm. i thought it might be the chip in the key but my spare doesn't work, and i tried grafting resistors into the ignition wires (orange sleeve around white) but that didn't work either. i disconnected the battery and left it that way. any help would be appreciated. i need my car to work again. thanks.

^ agree, a key fob from that auction site is pretty cheap.

At this point it's gone too far. You can only disable the alarm once it's gone off with the key, and you have to hook the battery up and turn the key a few times to tune the fob. The alarm will be going off at that point. Besides, I would like my key to work.

Gotta get a new remote or remotes and program it to the BCM. Best take it to a dealer get a new remote and get it programmed.
