Default Wanted:More info about 1SA package 93 Firehawk

As the title says, I recently came across and bought this 1993 Firehawk with the RPO codes WS9 Y83 1SA. It is my understanding that this particular build (the 1SA package) is 1 of only 2 built in 1993. Any information confirming or rebutting this would be helpful. I have been on Firehawk.org to have the VIN verified and I have a printout from Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids, Michigan verifying the VIN was a convertible and had a hatch. I have other pictures of the car in my album. Again, any info or direction to have this verified is greatly appreciated. -Rob

The firehawk RPO code is R6V.

What you have is a 93 Trans Am GT.
WS9=formula
WS9+Y83= Trans Am GT.

I believe the 1SA rpo code is for standard equipment in the base package.

Good point, didn't notice that when I posted a reply in his other thread:

I don't see a Firehawk hood in that photo either.

All '93 Firehawks were Formulas, which means it would have to have RPO W66 as well. That's not on the decal. Y83 definately makes it a T/A:

Total '93 T/As built: 5369
w/ MX0 (A4): 4174
w/ RPO 48U (Dk Grn Met): 674
w/ RPO 1SA: 5291

It can be a convertible, or it can have a hatch, but it can't be both.

FYI, no 4th gen F-body 'verts were built in '93.

Quite an interesting thread. It seems the OP may have wanted to study up on the phrase "Caveat Emptor" with this one

I got it for 6k and it seemed like a good deal, even for a standard Firebird.
