Default Stock TA hood on WS6 car???

Will a stock TA hood fit on a WS6 car?

I know not many people have done it or wanted to do it, but I'm thinking about putting a regular hood on the Formy. Not for good, just to mess with some people.

I've heard that it wont fit because of the WS6 airbox. Does anybody know for sure?

I tried searching, but its 2 am and I'm stupid right now so I couldnt get a good answer.

All WS6 cars were shipped to ASC with base model 'bird hoods on them. ASC did the WS6 conversion since GM could not install & paint the ram air hoods at the St. Therese facility. I highly doubt that GM would have shipped the cars with the base model airbox, so I'm sure they went to ASC with the ram air airbox (the cars were shipped to ASC with all the other WS6 items--wheels, emblems, suspension, etc.)

I think you'd be ok to do the "sleek beak" conversion.

if you've got an aftermarket lid, it *might* rub on the stock, non-WS6 hood...

I might try to put it on and see what happens, i guess it wont hurt anything, maybe just waste some time.

Thanks for the info.

Y2K- I saw an article on the conversions (WS6) The lower airbox was retro fitted by ASC. It was shipped from GM with the base box and then it was upgraded later.

I'm willing to bet ($20) that the taller box will cause clearance issues.
