It could possibly lead to that if it were to get enormous amounts of attention. Not likely though.
However, they're probably thinking more along the lines that a lot of people can relate to that car so it puts in peoples heads the idea of building something along those lines. That means more restoration parts purchases from Year One and more crate engine purchases from GM.
