Question Headlight motor issue

I just got home with my '02 WS6. The only problem it has is with the drivers side headlight motor (got him to lower the price quite a bit because of it )

The problem is that when you turn off the headlights, the motor wants to run for another 5 seconds or so. It sounds like the motor is in a bind when its running. The light works just fine, and it doesnt do it when you turn the lights on. Do i need a new motor for that headlight, or could something else be causing the problem?

Thanks for any help someone can give.

Yeah, your motors gettin ready to take a crap. You have 2 options, A- Replace the motor, B- Spin the gear to the un-used portion.

You must have missed this sticky at the top of the forums-> https://ls1tech.com/forums/pontiac-firebird-1967-2002/177470-firebird-headlights-all-comments-questions-regarding-headlights-go-here.html
