Default Need advice on buying an 02

I have been reading up on firebirds a lot lately and feel with the help of this site I am learning a lot about them. I still have a couple questions....

One thing I am not sure of is the one I'm looking at buying a decent deal?

It is a VERY clean 2002 NHRA Edition with 99k on the clock for just shy of $12k. Is that to much to pay for that many miles?

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national

Also I have tried searching but haven't found anything about what type of miles to expect on an engine. I change fluids in my cars religiously, oil at 3k everything else at manufacturers recommendations. Assuming the car has been taken care of thus far what is a reasonable mileage to expect?

Is there anything specific I should look at when I go back to take another look?

Thank you for your help!

what kind of engine are you talking about when asking about miles. if you mean an LS1, if you do regular maitenance and dont do anything stupid to it, you can get over 200k miles out of one. alot of people on this site have over 100k, 150k, and more.

I have 130,000 on my 02 Formula, it doesn't use oil between changes. I am the only owner of mine so I know the upkeep of the car however. If the car is well kept it's probably worth it.
