Default 1988 GTA intermittant miss

Been fighting this issue for quite a while now. Entire ignition has been changed ( several times). Today I put one of those inline spark indicators ( neon light) in the coil to distributor wire. Car would barely run. Is this an indication that I still have a weak spark or is this not a valid test?

Try replacing the module in the distributor and making sure the spark plug wires are not arcing by revving the motor in the dark and looking for sparks.

I have a new AC Delco module on the way. I checked the wires ( MSD) no arcing and I misted them with water and no change. If its not the module, I am thinking fuel or the MAF.

Thats a possibility. I replaced the distributor once before. The original engine never recieved proper oil changing and the distributor was actually binding. There doesnt seem to be a lot of movement when I try to manually turn the rotor (dist installed).
