i have a 1997 firebird V6 and the engine oil dip stick is spiral and when i check the oil level it marks low clean dipstick and it marks low and re-check and it marks ok , why is it spiral ,do i have to turn it has it goes in or it has the wrong dipstick i got the firebird used, THANKS

Its twisted so it doesnt bend so easily.
maybe you need to wait a while after shutting it off.
The oil takes some time to drain back to the pan.
Also make sure its level.
