Question Im new to the ls1

I just traded in my 1998 camaro 3.8 for a 2000 trans am and I just wanted to know a few things. What is the normal temp that the ls1 runs at Im sitting at about 200 there bouts and what parts would be best for me to buy the help the horsepower Im lookin to do a little drag racind and want to run a good number but nothing crazy. Any help is great thanks all

Normal temp is around 190-210*, but the temp gauge in the car is a "dummy" gauge, it pretty much only reads 210.

Some good power bolt ons would be a lid, long tube headers, y-pipe and a good catback and a tune. Do a seach for anything else.

U can make horsepower with N/A, but like me natural aspiration just wasnt enough and now having a turbo i would never go back, look into forced induction...it will be work it
