hey i was shampooing my carpet and i took the center console out of my 2001 trans am. i noticed a plug that was not connected to anything behind the convertible top and traction control plate. (my car doesn't have traction control) it has 5 wires on it. does any body know what it's for? are our cars wired for traction control even if you don't have it?

It could be for the cd changer as well.

They use the same harness regardless of what options your car has, so you'll find "dangling plugs" throughout the car. If you've ever gutted a 'bird for racing purposes, you'll see what I'm talking about
