traction/handling question
Thinking about buying a g8 for my wife and was wondering how they handled/hooked in the rain and snow. Seems like the dealer is giving me a pretty good deal on it. The sticker is 34,000 and they knocked it down to 31,000. Plus there is 3,000 in rebates on top of it. They are also going to give me 28,000 for her 2007 Tahoe which shocked the hell out of me! Shes going to drive it tonight to see if she likes it, but was asking me how the traction was since its rear wheel drive. Thanks in advance.

If it has the 18" rims w/ all season tires, the snow/wet weather handling is good. If it has the 19" rims w/ summer tires, they do fine in the rain, but aren't real reliable in the snow.
A lot of people have a winter rim/tire combo that they swapped in during the snowy months, so that's something to think about as well.
FWIW, my wife drove in the snow, ours has the 19" w/ summer tires, and she had no problems, but much of that could be credited to safe driving as well.
