New GTO for me
Just picked up this car: https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicle-c...nch-motor.html
This thing is crazy fast. Just need to quiet down the exhaust a little bit, it is almost too loud to stand next to. But what a blast!

No track time yet. Next Friday is the last week for our local track and I am going to take it out then. It is loads of fun. The exhaust seems to be quieting down a little bit. It was sitting for a while and hadn't been run in a while so hopefully it get a little quieter as we go. I am still looking for a set of Stainless works catted mids to match their header. That should do quite a bit for it.
After that, I need to start a fund for new back tires

You are probably right. But it does seem to be mellowing out a bit. I ordered some cats for it tonight; hopefully that helps. The guy at the muffler shop was not pleased when he put it up on the lift. But at least the race pipe was band clamped and not welded! Should be a quick fix.

Thanks for the kind words all. Yes, I know I practically stole it from him. I can't believe I bought a car without seeing it and after it was only for sale for 2 days (this time). But I am SSOOO happy with it. It will be even better next year when I fab up a twin turbo kit for it

No car, and I repeat NO CAR! is too loud by a car guy.
If it takes ear muffs while cruising then he shall do so. Those called Police are truly blinded by the sound, and as a result they know not to do but issue these colored pieces of paper requesting your cooperation.
CATS?? What am I , an idiot.. who has cats on their car.. thats damn near animal cruelty sir! That smell in the air is power being expelled.. that's about one of the best smells in the world.. cept for Pu$$*
