Murder thy goat?
I have a little fold in my driver side fender and instead of me just getting that fixed I have to be an *** and completely change the car. What do you guys think of matte paint on a goat? Part of me likes it because its definitely different and it looks stealth and badass. However, the other part of me thinks it kinda looks unfinished. I would have my 18's painted to match if I did go flat.

I think it looks stupid. If you want a murdered out car, paint it straight black, black out all the lights/markers, tint the **** out of the windows, black wheels, black tires, black brakes, black black black.
It looks like someone got bored and did a good job with a rattle can, regardless of how good of a job it is.
Also, have fun taking care of the paint.

If YOU like it, do it. Who gives a **** what anyone says.
As far as taking care of it
- Matte and UltraMatte colors cannot be buffed or waxed. Buffing or waxing will add gloss that cannot be removed
- If scratched, nicked or scuffed, Matte or UltraMatte colors cannot be repaired Gloss marks left from scuffing or rubbing cannot be removed
- Wash with a mild car wash soap or grease cutting dishwashing detergent, using a microfiber cloth. Rinse thoroughly with clean water
- For light deposits, use ammonia-based glass cleaner with a microfiber cloth
- Use a clay bar only to remove imperfections. Do not use the clay bar on FLX-Paint that is not applied to a car. Do not use a clay sponge

I think it looks good...no doubt about that, but it's not something that I would do to my own vehicle. I have a buddy that has a PBM with flat accents. That may be a good compromise if you're wanting some flat paint. Maintenance isn't all that hard...just different than when you're dealing with the average paint. And if you do do this I would advise against having flat wheels. I just think that would be overkill and wouldn't end up looking very good. Now that you have me thinking about this...a flat goat with gloss SAP grills, spoiler, and wheels might look pretty cool. Haven't seen that done yet. And then maybe just a touch of yellow or red around the lip of your wheels? Maybe?

My advice: Do what makes you happy. If you want the satin...go satin. If not, don't. Some people don't like different. I on the other hand do. You can't give people too much **** for wanting to be unique. Once the first snow falls mine is getting put on our lift for a few changes. One of these changes is building a custom shaker set up using the shaker from a '77 T/A. Some don't like the look and say it doesn't it's a T/A thing. Wrong. '74 GTOs had them. And I like it and that's all I care about. I like the satin look as well but my car is yellow so a satin black will never happen to mine lol.
