Default AuSpeed Intake

This is a takeoff(copy) of the SvedeSpeed intake. It is based on Svede's design as he worked with the maker on getting the design right. The maker made a couple extras that Svede knew about and I got one of the extras. Any intakes outside of the initial batch are none of my business. Got it on this weekend. Love dumping the AEM heat soaker for an OTR. Looks so much better and the red shroud looks sick. I'll probably add some more red in there as I go. Thinking the intake manifold would look great in red. The red paint also dissipates heat so it helps keep hot engine air from leaking into the intake while I'm stopped. I haven't checked my IAT's yet, no tuner to do it, but I did a couple of WOT runs from 2nd to 4th then pulled off to check. The top of the CAI was cool to the touch and it was almost 90* here yesterday. Awesome as my AEM would've been smoking hot by then. It is heat wrapped and then CF wrapped, which add a little flair and another layer of protection. I honestly don't love the CF but it could be worse. I'll probably paint the intake a different color eventually. Now I gotta figure what to put in that big hole in the bay Lol.

The shroud needs to be touched up, wet sanded and re-painted but I ran out of time this weekend. The filter did sit flush, I pulled it off to install the intake and not damage the filter, I then re-sealed it to the intake.

If your on the fence because your not sure this works. I just picked up 3 MPG on a routine drive from Atl to Charlotte. 25mpg overall averaging 75-80mph. I did this with a malfunctioning MAF because I broke 2 transistors in it. I'll be putting a working MAF in today and figure on getting 27-28MPG on my way home.
