Default DIY 04 GTO Corsa "Touring" conversion

Well after I swapped in a new cam the Corsa sport got a bit too loud for my taste. I wasn't about to drop $1000 on a new touring system and the conversion if it existed anymore I'm sure would still be a bit pricey. So I decided to mimic the 05-06 design concept and add a resonator before the muffler. There isn't a whole lot of space to work with, but luckily my coworkers friend owns a shop that made something just right. its a 12 inch long, 4.5 inch diameter resonator packed with fiberglass. 304L stainless, 3 inch in and out. for $30, I'm all over it. I will be adding it behind the y merge and bypassing a slip fit connection. I don't really need that slip fit since the system unbolts behind the axle anyways. I will post before/after sound clips as well as pictures. For now here are pictures of the resonator.

And here are the videos. Idle with just the Corsa Sport

And idle with the resonator installed (sorry about the wind noise)

Nice!!! Sounds great. The Corsa in general tends to get a little raspy with no cats and a cam. Great turn around.

sounds much better. Kinda crazy how much difference that one resonator made, just seems to clean everything up better. great idea.

I was surprised as well. I'll be adding 2 more resonators where the cats would be. same diameter and packing but I believe the are 6 inches.
