Default New 04 GTO exhaust questions.. help!

Hey guys, just bought an M6 04 GTO, pretty much stock minus a k&n cai. I'm wanting to keep it pretty stock as it's a dd. I do however, want a more aggressive sounding exhaust but I'm not sure I want to drop the money for an SLP catback if I don't have to. I saw that SLP sells the LM2 mufflers for the GTO application http://www.lmperformance.com/5699/43.html . But I haven't heard of anyone using them on the Goats. I know the inlet and outlet on the SLP's is 2.5 and the stock GTO is 2.25 at the muffler so will it be a pain in the @ss to get them fitted up? Any info will help, thanks guys.

The stock exhaust pipe is crimped all to hell on an 04 and it only gets worse when you weld in mufflers. There is always some one selling an exhaust on ls1gto.Look up a pacesetter catback for the 04.

I bought used JBA headers and mids with cats for $380. Dropped $40 for an H-pipe and another $150 for spintech mufflers. Car sounds great. Ill post a video soon so you can hear how it sounds

Get headers and it'll sound a little louder plus make more power than the cat back. The stock cat back, as restrictive as it looks, flows very well.
