Default Pcv Valve?

Do the GTO's have them? Where is it?

They would have to, to meet emissions, etc. The valve is behind the TB and the hoses run to the back of the valve covers.

I was reading the helms manual and I cant find it anyplace. All i found was a hose that goes from the valley pan the the bottom of throttle body (on the intake manifold). The only hose that I saw on the valve covers goes from the top of the throttle body to the hose fitting near the oil fill tube.

On the drivers side valve cover the hose fitting that used to be there is capped now.

That's it. The LS6 style PCV pulls from the valley instead of the valve cover. The PCV valve should be in the rubber neck before the intake.

Heres some pics. See how the hose goes from the valley pan to the manifold.

And in the other pics you can see how there is a rubber plug on the drivers side valve cover.

I wonder how many of the LS6 parts are on the 2004 LS1 engines.

Looks different but that's got to be it... The pluged holes are where the "normal" LS1 PCV hooked up. LS6 has it in the valley but I think it exits out the back and comes around, maybe they moved it around to the front (makes sense) but were's the valve? under the intake? The top hose is for the breather.

Maybe somebody else can enlighten us - but from what I've read the catch can's are not really worth it with both the LS6 block and intake like we've got. Maybe try asking that specific question in the internals section?

Look at all the oil that catch cans collect. Thats why I'm interested in getting one for my car.

I would also like to hear if the GTO's are having an oil contamination issue due to the pcv.

How would you find out if there was some oil contamination?

This is how I check this on camaro:

Run the engine hard, then kill it and let it stand for 5 minutes. Take off the lid/maf assembly and look into TB - when I have PCV oil issue, there's a little bit of oil collecting just under TB blade and there's some oil stains on the sides.
