PCA Autocross Race Video. 4/26/2015.
This is my first event on my new Bridgestones 71r tires. My car is classed A street, but today I had 10.5 wheels on the front. 275 square. There is no rules when racing with PCA for X class. These tires feel and race just like Hoosiers. Just like usual, PCA had a great event. 2nd. overall out of 90 cars. I got beat by a Porsche 911 on Hoosiers R7's. by .012. If I only shifted into 3rd. That was close.

Steve,
I looked those tires up and they are 200TW tires yet, you say they run like the A6's you used. You were using another tire recently that I can't recall. Could you post here what tires you've used before and your thoughts on their grip for Autocross?
I am running Nitto 555's and am slowly searching for another set of stickier front tires to run and I can run 275/35 or 40/18. I was thinking Hankook Rs3's because there are a lot of people around here that run really fast with them. But, maybe there are other options....

In this video, I was running the 71r tires. If I didn't know better, the car behaved just like I was on Hoosiers. Great turn in, braking, forward grip and lateral grip. Very little noise, and no need for a warm up lap. They are that good. I have run on Hankook RS3's and there's no comparison. RS3's were last years best tire, but not anymore. Don't buy them. The only question I have now, is the BFGoodrich Rival S. They might possibly be as good as the 71r, but I don't know at this time. I'm considering buying 315/30/18 Rival S square for my 10.5 rims for all other events, but SCCA. If you can't fit a 315 and only a 275, then I would go with 71r. without a question. Hope this helps.
