How much did you narrow yours and what rim/tire are you going to run?

the new housing is done, went to powder wednesday evening. probably gonna get held up by the holiday, but we'll see what happens. everything is ready, just have to qci the assy and get it to fedex once its in my hands. i'll keep ya posted. thanks.

 

Is this the same rear that EPP posted up a month or so ago? Didnt they weight it and it was a little heavier then a 12 bolt but less the a normal 9"?

Also, the 2600, is that for yalls TQ arm and the 9'?

I dont think my 10 bolt will keep cuttin 1.4X 60's too much longer.

 

No, this is his own rear that he made and then started selling when there was so much interest. Probably around the same weigh though as the epp one though

 

hell no its not the same! i actually had the fabricated housings in the f-bodys last spring, but didn't make it public until the summer after we r&d for a while. these were initially the same rearend parts i used in the tube chassis cars i build, other than the 3-1/2 axle tube.
this is completely my own design. the components are cad designed, laser cut and cnc folded here. i assemble and weld them by hand, custom to customers specs.
my full length, braced housing with the new 4 hole lca bracketry is 57 pounds. a complete rearend with a aluminum center section, axles, and brake backing plates is right at 150 pounds.
no strength is sacrificed on these rearends, either. i use 3 inch DOM axle tubing, and the center of the housing has internal gusset plates that the axle tubes run into. the tubes go all the way to the housing studs. its light, and its strong! we now have a specific design, just for the f-body application. 3 and 4 channel abs offered, also. the 4 hole lca brackets, anti-sway brackets, and drain plug are a standard feature at no extra cost on all rearends i do.
next time i talk with Moser i will ask them to weigh a bare housing. the other components are gonna pretty much be the same. i guarantee mine is a bit lighter, though.

I like the design. I have no ABS so will it be cheaper without ABS then?

I have my spohn TQ arm, will it fit on this 9" or will I have to use yalls TQ arm? And, is the TQ arm incuded in the 2600?

Craftsmanship of this housing is excellent. This thing is built like a @#$%ing tank.

 

It looks like it has different setting for the LCA mounts? Is that correct?

 

Yes, it has four positions for LCA's and the track arm has 4 positions too. No having to add relocation brackets here.

The housing has sway bar mounts already attached, my stock swaybar bolted right up.
