I have an amazing 2002 Z28 Camaro Convertible that has had an LS7 from a 2006 Z06 installed into it. Up until recently GM had never seen fit to build a convertible Z06 with an automatic transmission, so I had it done. The car is amazing. It looks good, it sounds good, it passes OBDII inspections,it's reliable, and IT IS FUN TO DRIVE!
Other than the following, the car is stock and unmolested.

Engine: 2006 LS7 with less than 18K miles
 505 horsepower / 475 lb.-ft. torque
 Racing technology transfer takes production engine performance to new heights
 Racing-derived CNC-ported aluminum cylinder heads
 Each engine assembled by hand by a single, specially-trained builder
 Dry Sump converted to Oil Pan w/ Melling High Flow Oil Pump
 Nick Williams 90 mm Throttle Body
 Lingenfelter Performance Cam/Crank Converter Box
 Kooks 1 7/8" D Port LS7 headers
 Magnaflow catalytic converters
 Sweet Thunder chambered exhaust
 Passes State required OBDII Emissions Tests

Transmission: GM 4L60E Stage II w/Yank 3000 RPM Torque Converter
Exhaust: Custom Made Stainless Steel True Cat Back Dual Exhaust w/ Chambered Mufflers
Suspension: Custom SLP Performance Bilstein/Eibach Shocks and Springs, and a Custom Made Panhard Rod

Rear End: Custom Strange Engineering 12 Bolt
 Strange designed 12-bolt case with torque arm provision
 Premium nodular iron casting
 HD Strange/Eaton 33-spline posi unit
 Fully welded axle tubes
 Chromoly end caps
 Standard 33-spline axle
 1350 series yoke with u-joint

Thanks for the interest. Yes, it is still for sale. I'm kind of on the fence about selling it. It's such a treat to drive, and other than the gas it costs me nothing to keep it. My wife would like me to make the garage space available, however. It will be a great ride for someone.

Wow...nice build. What would you consider trading it for?

With the work of a couple of great mechanics, I had it done. I bought the car used I think in 2012, and did the conversion in the following year. And yes, it was not inexpensive. But there was no sense in not doing it right. With regard to the question of a trade, I am trying to reduce the size of the stable. So if it goes, it will be in an outright sale.
