Rims are in good condition...not show condition, though. They are billet centers with spun outers. No dents and no rash, but perhaps a nick or two. Inside of the barrels has the typical marks from tire changing...as I owned these for several years.
I sold the Z-28 with stock SS wheels and now need to unload these. They've been for sale on Craigslist and that has just been a dead end.
PM is okay, but I will probably be slow to respond...please e-mail at bigjuano@gmail.com for a quick response.
I just want to give everyone on her a heads up, nobr8kss seems like a great person to deal with but he either doesnt know the condition of hs stuff or is just trying to pawn off crap, I bought his wheels from him asking him in an email if any of them where bent after I found an old post on here about the same wheels he wa stating that they all had bent lips and one was bent. I asked him about this and he said he had it replaced, I took the wheel to a tire mounting shop and they put it on their balancer and it was plainly obvious that it was bent, I figured I would put it on the car just to try it out anyway and it was very noticable going down the road. I asked for my money back and he said too bad you looked at them before you bought them, Im sorry but I cant tell if a rim is bent in a mcdonalds parking lot 60 miles from where I live. I just wanted to give other people a heads up to stay away even though I dont think he will be selling anything else on here since he already got rid of his car.

Russ,
I went through a lot to get those wheels up to my expectations many years ago. I was convincing to you because I was honest. However, I was hard on the rims, and I suppose it's possible that one got damaged in the racing environment, although it was not evident to me. I did use them for many years and put several sets of tires on those rims...no shop ever reported damage to me after that initial bad wheel in 2005. BTW, the same shop remounted my tire on the replacement rim and said it looked fine.
I got more compliments on those wheels than anything else on or in my car...you really will be happy with them if you give them a chance. I thought about this some and I'll Paypal you $50 to have your local wheel shop take out the bend...but that's my best offer. If that doesn't eliminate your regret, then I'm sorry.

Boyds are very "soft" rims. I have to agree with the seller. I am sure he did not intentionally sell you a bent rim. These are really not made for daily use. The condition of local streets beats the crap out of these type of rims. I have Boyds on my S10, and have hit pot holes I would not have thought would have done any damage, but yet it had. My best advice is if your going to run a rim like this, is to only run them during summer, after road work has been done, and to have the # of a good local rim repair shop. I still think the price was fair, even with a bent rim, because it was not noticeable. JMHO
and when I tried to return the rims and get my money back I was told tough luck that I must be wanting my money back for some personal reason that my ex-girlfriend at the time must have been pissed at me because she had to front me the cash til the next day because the atm at my bank was out of service or that I was afraid because we were so close to the holidays, there was no way the rim was bent. Anyway I could of taken a video if you didnt believe me but its past that now because Im stuck paying $110 to get one wheel fixed. Oh well just makes me not trust people as much on this forum as I thought I could. I would of even been willing to give you some money back for gas but you just assumed I was scared or something. Well the car isnt a daily driver and we dont have that many potholes in NC so it should be ok whenever I do drive it. Oh and if you bought a new wheel how come the whole set has the exact same build date on them??

I just saw this and felt I had to respond. I'm by no means trying to get in the middle here, but I actually bought Jon's Camaro. I've had the car almost two years and it's been flawless. He's been very easy to communicate with and I've even talked to him recently about the car. I'm not saying it wasn't bent, but if it was, he was unaware. He's an honest guy.
