FS: 2000 hardtop NBM Formula roller
Here's the scoop. I had the car running 11.50's last summer with the 408/A4 setup. I sold the 408 and RPM trans with the itentions of rebuilding the car to be a 9 sec drag car. Well, things have changed drastically in my life recently and I'm going into business with my wife in the next 1-2 years and I'm faced with the decision of putting the Formula away for 5-10 years...or sell it and get a "cheaper" fun car that I can just drive (older 3rd/4th gen?). Well, to me it doesn't make sense for the car to sit in a barn for 5-10 years until we get the business on it's feet, so my baby needs a new home. I know it doesn't mean anything to a buyer, but I put everything I had in this car. I mean everything: all my time, heart, soul and every penny I could manage (amost cost me my marriage)
About the car.
Body:
It's a 2000 NBM hardtop formula that was originally an M6 that was converted to A4 last summer. Body has 60,000 miles on it. Paint is very nice with no dings. Just a few small scratches and small rock chips in the front. Last summer I clear coated the shock towers and front shroud support for a cleaner look.
Interior:
Black cloth interior that's like new. Complete less shifter.
The only interior additions are the Auto Meter electrical gauges in the AC vents (water temp/oil temp/trans temp).
Chasis:
Like new Moser 9" with Detroit Truetrac posi w/3.70 gears and 31 spline axles bought from Bob @ EPP. Maybe 500 miles on the rear. I primed and painted the rear (see pic).
UMI adjustable panhard bar, UMI adjustable cross member mount torque arm, UMI weld-in SFC's, BMR sway bar relocation mounts w/new bushings & end links, BMR tubular LCA's w/BMR relocation brackets. Stock springs and shocks, front suspension and brakes. Calipers were repainted this fall and new Formula decals added.
Removed: AC, PS pump, air pump, cruise, front sway bar and ABS block. I have everything except the cruise control and PS. I also have the radiator, fans, shrouds and all the hardware from the engine bay. The only thing I have left from the engine is the rocker covers and coils/brackers. Wiring harness and PCM are still in the car.
Stock wheels with like new Coopers on the front and MT Drag radials on the rear that only have maybe 100 miles on them and 5 passes at the track.
Here are the most recent pics prior to engine removal:
Most people that see the car in person tell me it's one of the cleaner cars they've seen. I've spent a lot of time pampering this car!
Let me know if you have any questions.
