ls1 camaro to SBC swap question
like the title says i need help, im wanting to put a SBC in my 2000 camaro with a bmr sbc k-member and was wondering what headers, oil pan, distributor, and motor mounts people are using to do this kind of swap and any other info would help. thanks

so the moroso oil pan will fit on the sbc its a full drag car no power steering or ac pretty much nothing at all but crank pulley and alternator and will the full length lt1 headers will fit with no problems.

the only problem with useing the hooker supercomps you have to re rout the 1st tube on the driver side #1 around the sreering arm.if you want pics pm me your e-mail and i will send a few over also i have a set for sale i am switching to a 2"header let me know if you have any more questions i will be glade to help.

Thats the smartest thing i have ever heard. You could sell the ls1 etc and make a killing because everyone wants it. Make sure you get an lt1 cross member so you can use the stock mounts if so desired. Also not sure on the header clearance but if you keep the ls1 rack it will give you more header clearance. Angle of the steering shaft. I don't remember who makes the manual racks cuz i want power steering for my 10 wide front wheels
