2 bolt will be just fine. I read a couple articles that said how a stock 2 bolt is actually stronger than a factory 4 bolt. Unless you wanna spend alot of money and get the 18 degree splayed main caps, stick with what ya got. Just get a stroker crank and have the machine shop clearance the block. Its a good idea to run 6 inch rods to. Added security.

6 inch rods add no security at all it gives a better rod/stroke ratio givign a little more torque and a little more burn time at tdc if ur looking for a high RPM motor stay w a 5.7 rod
and the 2 bolt mains will hold up just fine install studs and have it alignhoned w the studs installed so it simulates the distortion that the block will see w them and u will be golden

I agree with everything with what everyone has said. A two bolt main is just fine as long as the machine shop has done a good job and will produce less than 500 hp. I have one lying around somewhere in my house, I think a 010 block from the 70s.
Nice looking blower man.

thanks. i got the blower setup when i traded a guy all my new never used n2o setup and some cash... 2 weeks after i had the blower i changed the upper pulley..........lol now i might change the lower pulley to max the blower out and im planning on a 950 cfm carb....
i had the machine shop clean, bore the cylinders, new cam bearings, freeze plugs and i put it together.......... stock crank ...stock main caps and bolts.......stock reconditiond rods with speed pro forged flat top pistons..............15k on the lower end now and hot has 40 psi oil pressure at idle........ most dependable engine i built

I have never seen studs make a cap stronger as it still just a grey cast iron cap with better hardware as it like putting a set of ARP rod bolts in an old set of rods it does not make the rods any stronger there just an old set of rods with better hardware.
