400 sbc I have a 400 SBC 4 bolt main. A co-worker is very interested in just the block. He plans on making a racing engine out of it so just wants the block only.
What is a block like this worth?

If it was a 2 bolt main it would be worth a little more, the 4 bolts are actually weaker than the 2 bolt. I sold a 2 bolt standard bore recently for $350. I think you would be doing good to get $200 out of a 4 bolt, make sure its not cracked between the steam holes between the cylinders as they are known for that.
