intake selection help
alright, i am very new to gen 1's...currently, have a 650 holley, torker 2 intake, and sportsman 2 heads, the cam is 244/250 .570/.582 on a 110lsa.
the car feels like its dying up top above 4500 or so, and i believe it to be due to the manifold as i am keeping fuel pressure, and the cam should really start to pick up there...
so my question is, what intake should i go with? i can get a deal on a Super Victor, but not sure if the runners are so large that i may lose too much air velocity. this is a 357 btw. 10.1:1 scr

That should just be starting to pull id look for an ignition problem. Your intake should not be a problem although its not the best. I would recomned a rpm air gap on that engine.

I agree with Fastredchevy, go with the air-gap, although it is a dual-plane it will move more air then the Torker 2.....the super victor will severly hurt your performance anywhere but 6000 or so and up compared to the air-gap, maybe even hurt it there too. The torker 2 is actually one of the worst designed manifolds from Edelbrock, as a point there are some small motor circle track classes mandated to that manifold in order to restrict power.....not a good sign.
