Are you running a Fram (or something cheaper) oil filter? Those oil filters will actually suck the filter element closed with over 60+ psi, Fram advises to keep there filters under 60 psi if you call there tech dept.

With the Wix filter, are you haveing the same problem? One other thing to check is a internal oil plug between the oil filter adapter and the rear main cap. As the block is hot tanked that plug will climb up the block as it heats & contracts. To check for that you will need to remove the oil pressure sending unit or mechanical line adapter. Then take a long 1/4" drive extension and see how far down it goes when it hits that soft plug. Mark with a sharpie where it is even with the the top of the block. Then find a std bore block and check how far down it goes when it makes contact with the soft plug. If you can't find a std bore block let me know & I will measure the ones I have at the shop and give you the average depth of them.

Ill have to check into it, the problem persisted after the wix oil and filter change, castrol 10w30. Then with luas stabilizer.
