New DO IT YOURSELF Swing out door bar kits!!!!!
Well we got tired of using the chassis engineering swing out kits so one of my guys here decide to fab up a little something. We really like the way they fit and the way they look while the door bar is in and out of the car. Below are a few pictures of the door bar slugs and the o ringed caps that go over them. I will get a few install pictures of them in the car a little later.
We will be selling these for $160
What it will come with is:
4 Steel Slugs w/ .375 holes
2 Aluminum caps w/ o-rings for snug fits
4 Detent locking pins
Install instructions
If you already have a 6 point cage in the car with solid bars this would be about a 2-3 hour istall.
Only tools you would need are a welder (Tig for a better look), Sawzall, and a drill.
If you are really into looks you can add two more caps to the kit for the floor slugs for $30.
We curently have 10 sets in stock and will have more soon.
thanks
Brad

Technically you dont even need the bolt on the bottom unless you dont want them to swing. Its a nice enough fit that you bar will rotate on the floor slug nicely. It swings out just like a regular door bar kit. With the top locked in place the bottom cant move so unless you are at the track and want the added peace of mind, there is no reason to have a bolt in the floor slug at all.
